Sail Cape Cod Hosts Certification Courses inFirst Aid/CPR and Boating Safety

Hyannis, MA - Sail Cape Cod, a non-profit community sailing program, announces its Spring schedule of Certification Training Courses for the following:


First Aid/CPR Certification (American Red Cross)


This 1 Day Course provides American Red Cross certification training in First Aid, CPR and AEDs, and will also include a section on Boating Medical Emergencies

Course #1: Saturday, March 21st   9:00am – 1:00pm


Course #2: Monday, May 11     5:30pm – 9:30pm


1 Day Course Fee: $95.00 (includes course materials)




Safe Boating Certification (NASBLA)


This 2 Day Course covers rules of the road, aids to navigation, boat handling skills, and chart work, and is approved by the North American Safe Boating Law Administrators (NASBLA). Adults who take the course are eligible for a discount on their boat insurance. Youths between the ages of 12-15 wishing to operate a boat in Massachusetts without adult supervision, and personal watercraft users who are 16 or 17 years of age must complete a Safe Boating course.


Course #1: Saturday, March 7th & Saturday, March 14th  9:00am – 1:00pm


Course #2: Monday, May 4th & Thursday, May 7th  5:30pm – 9:30pm


2 Day Course Fee: $95.00 (includes course materials)
