Youth Sailing

2023 Youth Sailing Program

Sail Cape Cod is offering its Youth Sailing Program this summer from June 26-August 25, 2023 consisting of one-week lesson blocks (5 consecutive classes run Mon-Fri) for $250.00 per week, per sailor. Scholarship opportunities are available based on need (see below). 6 years and up please.

This program is for students who are both new to sailing and those who have some sailing experience. The goals of this class are to have fun on the water and to learn and/or build upon the basics of sailing. Students in this class will have the opportunity to sail with a small group under the direction of our US Sailing Level 1 Certified Instructors with an instructor driven safety boat alongside. Sailing instruction is taught in our 17′ sailboats with an instructor in each boat. Typical Student to Instructor ratio is 4:1

Students will meet & board daily at the Gateway Marina docks behind the Cape Cod Maritime Museum, 135 South St, Hyannis.

Location: 135 South St, Hyannis, MA 02601 – behind the Cape Cod Maritime Museum on the docks at Gateway Marina.
There is no parking available onsite, however there are a number of free and paid parking lots on and around Main Street.

When: We will meet at the docks every day at the time of your lesson (9:00 or 11:00am), and will finish the lesson each day about two hours after departure.  Please arrive promptly as the boat will leave the dock at the start of the lesson.
